What is a CSA? Members of a Community Supported Agriculture program support local farms by buying "shares" of future harvests- in this case, meat animals. By paying for shares up front, CSA members guarantee farmers the capital they need to bring their animals from field to market. In return, members receive regular deliveries of products.
What comes with a MSF CSA membership? MSF CSA members receive a monthly box containing a mix of frozen retail-cut meats. They can also claim responsibility for helping create a more affordable supply of meats that are raised locally, ethically, sustainably, and humanely.
What is in a package? Our meat can be divided into three basic categories based on price point- we call them "steak", "roast & braise" and "ground. CSA boxes contain a guaranteed amount of meat within each category- we offer three package sizes: “Small”, “Medium”, and “Large”. For details, click on each package option.
How much do I save by becoming a CSA member? You can expect to save up to 20% by purchasing your meat through the CSA packages as compared to the full retail price of our Farm Partners that you may find at local Butcher Shops or Farmers Markets. Can I add other retail items to my package? We are no longer offering Add-Ons to our CSA members. We encourage you to visit our website, www.grubmarket.com to place orders for other grocery items we will deliver right to your front door!
When is the order deadline? The deadline for placing an order, making changes to an existing order, or updating credit card information is 11:59 pm on the Saturday before pickup day.
Where/how do I pick up? GrubMarket will deliver your meat bundles directly to your residence or place of business.
What if I am going on vacation? A member may request to skip a month's pick up (thereby extending their subscription by a month) using the online CSA member dashboard, e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (510)-296-0330.
What happens when my subscription expires? All of our subscriptions are set to auto-renew to a month-by-month payment schedule once the initial term runs out. If you'd like to make any changes to your auto-renewal settings, please contact us at email@example.com or by calling 510-296-0330.
